In 1999, the
Perry Police
Department became re-certified in the State of Georgia Law Enforcement
Certification Program. The Commission confirmed our continued compliance with all applicable professional standards, and unanimously awarded
re-certified status to the
Perry Police Department. This effort ensures that you are receiving the highest quality of law enforcement services available.
Our Mission and Philosophy
The
Perry Police
Department is committed to the stated mission through the development and pursuit of goals designed to enhance police service to the community. The mission of the department is threefold:

To protect the life, individual liberty and property of all people within the
City of Perry,

To develop and maintain a positive relationship with members of the community, and

To foster a positive working environment for police employees.
The thrust of the Department's mission of public safety and success depends upon citizen satisfaction, trust and goodwill. The Department can best achieve its objectives and meet citizen needs by following a consistent, fair and sensitive program of officer/citizen interaction. The Department continuously works to establish and enhance positive lines of communication with all segments of our service populace. I'm especially proud of this Department's employees and their accomplishments; the men and women of the
Perry Police Department continuously put forth tremendous efforts to help keep our community as safe as possible.
