    General Information

The Perry Fire Department  is proud to serve the City of Perry and Houston County. With outstanding support from the community, we have been able to provide over 62 years of service to citizens in need. We sincerely hope you will never need our services, but rest assured if you ever do, we will be standing by waiting for your call. Whether it be within the city limits of Perry or anywhere in Houston County, we're here to help in any way we can.

The Perry Fire Department is comprised of  dedicated firefighters from the City of Perry and surrounding Houston County. As members we are NPQ (National Professional Qualified) Firefighter I and II, as well as National Registered Emergency Medical Technicians and we practice with the most advanced and modern rescue techniques available today. Our training levels include EMTs, First Responders, and advanced Firefighters with many years of experience . In addition to these levels, we all have various specialties and concentrations in areas like: Emergency Vehicle Operation, Heavy and Tactical Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Hazardous Materials, Confined Space Rescue, Underwater Rescue, Critical Incident Stress Management, CPR Instructors, and many more. We maintain our skills with regular monthly training meetings and state certified continuing education classes.

In addition to our highly trained members, we maintain a fleet of high tech rescue vehicles. We maintain one ladder truck, rescue pumper, and two fire  trucks ready to respond at any time. All of our vehicles carry vital life saving equipment and specialized tools suited to each vehicle.

Our call volume has grown consistently since we began in 1940. We respond to hundreds of emergency calls and spend many hours training as required by Georgia Law. With this combination of dedicated individuals and high tech equipment we strive to provide the best emergency  service possible for the City of Perry and Houston County.
