The Perry Fire Department is proud to serve the
City of Perry and Houston County. With outstanding support from the community, we have been able to provide
over 62 years of service to citizens in need. We sincerely hope you will never need our services, but rest assured if you ever do, we will be standing by waiting for your call.
Whether it be within the city limits of Perry or anywhere in Houston County, we're here to help in any way we can.
The Perry Fire Department is comprised of
dedicated
firefighters from the City of Perry and surrounding Houston County. As members we are
NPQ (National Professional Qualified) Firefighter I and II, as well as National
Registered Emergency Medical Technicians and we practice with the most advanced and modern rescue techniques available today. Our training levels include EMTs, First Responders,
and advanced Firefighters with many years of experience . In addition to these levels, we all have various specialties and concentrations in areas like: Emergency Vehicle Operation, Heavy and Tactical Rescue, Vehicle Extrication, Hazardous Materials, Confined Space Rescue, Underwater Rescue, Critical Incident Stress Management, CPR Instructors,
and many more. We maintain our skills with regular monthly training meetings and state certified continuing education classes.
In addition to our highly trained members, we maintain a fleet of
high tech rescue vehicles. We maintain
one ladder truck, rescue pumper, and two fire trucks ready to respond at any time. All of our vehicles carry vital life saving equipment and specialized tools suited to each vehicle.
