charges to a floating rate structure (re: Minutes of September 19, 2000) Natural Gas Fees Residential/Commercial Includes the installation of a gas line from the city main to the gas meter location. The customer is responsible for identifying the preferred location of the gas meter. Every effort will be made to install the meter at this location. The City of Perry will install the gas regulator and meter, and is responsible for the maintenance of all pipe and equipment from the meter to the main. The customer is responsible for having the final connection made to the gas meter by a licensed plumber. Please see our current Fee Schedule for rates. Natural Gas Rebate Program The City of Perry Natural Gas Rebate Program offers residential customers an incentive to discover the benefits of natural gas by purchasing or converting to natural gas appliances. The maximum amount available per home is $450. The following rebates apply:

The residential gas tap fee will be waived if a gas water heater is installed. To receive your rebate, city residents must contact the City of Perry Building Official and have an inspection made to verify proper installation and to confirm how many of the above appliances have been installed [Prior to the installation of any new gas piping, residents must obtain a building permit from the Building Inspections Office]. Take your signed inspection form to the City of Perry Finance Office and a check in the amount of your rebate will, in most cases, be prepared while you wait. To receive your rebate, county residents must contact the City of Perry Utilities Office and request an inspection to confirm how many of the above appliances have been installed. Download New Georgia Dig Law (Adobe 38k) Sanitation Services Sanitation services for the residents of the City of Perry is contracted out to Advanced Disposal. This service is provided once-a-week at a monthly charge. Commercial solid waste collection is also available for businesses. Residential garbage is containerized in the provided green rollout, and excess garbage may not be placed in a separate can or box as a mechanized system is utilized for collection. Rollouts can only be curbside from noon the day before scheduled pickup to noon the day after garbage collection. Anything that is placed outside the rollout will not be collected.
