Business Licenses
Perry has more than 730 businesses. Our local government
strives to assist businesses by providing quality services and a customer
friendly environment. Business licenses can be obtained quickly (in less than 10 minutes in most cases) if the business location is properly zoned. Aside from issuing business licenses, the
City of Perry does not regulate businesses nor intervene in consumer disputes. Consumer complaints are handled by the
Georgia Office of Consumer Affairs, 1-800-869-1123, or the Better Business Bureau, 1-478-742-7999. For
Perry business license information contact the Tax & License Department, (478) 988-2740. Businesses should visit the Purchasing section of the
Perry web site for resources such as bid and RFP listings, and links to other resourceful sites.

Business Licenses are issued by the Tax & License Department. Download the
City of Perry Business License Application from the Forms & Publications page.
New Businesses: When you apply for a business license bring an estimate of your gross receipts for the current year. You will also need a Certificate of Occupancy
from the Community Development
Department, or, if your business is located in your home, you will be
required to submit an Application for Special Exception to the Perry Planning
Commission (available from the Forms & Publications page). These can be obtained from
Community
Development Department, (478) 988-2720.
