From smoothies to shaved ice and BBQ to burritos, there is sure to be something on the map to satisfy everyone in the family! Additionally, participating restaurants within our Historic Downtown Restaurant District will be featuring specialty beverages and menu items, live entertainment and so much more! Run Big Shop Small Virtual Race

The Perry Main Street Program is hosting Run Big, Shop Small Virtual Race to support the small businesses that make Historic Downtown Perry a vibrant place! Participants will register and pledge to complete the distance of their choice from 1 mile, 5k, 10k, or Half Marathon. The race may be completed almost anywhere – neighborhoods, gyms, or Historic Downtown Perry. Participants can complete their race during any day of their choosing. They are, however, encouraged to complete their run between July 18-26. Runners and walkers of all fitness levels are welcome to participate. The $30.00 official registration packet includes a Run Big, Shop Small t-shirt, event medal, and race bib.  Packets will be available for pick-up prior to race week in Historic Downtown Perry. Registration spots are limited and will close on July 3, 2020. A portion of the event proceeds will be donated to the Perry Main Street Program whose mission is to promote a thriving downtown business district while preserving Perry’s historic resources and character. Gov. Kemp Issues New Executive Order | April 20, 2020

Governor Kemp issued a new Executive Order regarding reopening businesses and the state’s Shelter in Place order. Here are the highlights: ✔️ Reopens certain businesses beginning Friday, April 24, 2020 but with limitations. ✔️ Georgia’s Shelter in Place order is expected to end April 30, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. ✔️ Restaurants may resume limited dine in service on Monday, April 27, 2020. ✔️ Bars and nightclubs are to remain closed. Governor Kemp’s Executive Order Information

Governor Kemp’s shelter-in-place order begins today at 6:00 p.m. and extends through April 30 at 11:59 p.m. The order states residents must stay home unless engaging in essential services, performing necessary travel, performing minimum basic operations, or are those part of the critical infrastructure work force. Essential Services means obtaining necessary supplies or services for your household. This includes traveling to the grocery store, medical appointments, and pharmacies. You may also travel to pick up food or have it delivered to your house. You may also leave your house in the event of an emergency. Necessary travel means the travel required for someone to conduct or participate in essential services, minimum basic operations, or work for Critical Infrastructure. In response to the evolving situation regarding COVID-19, the City of Perry will be making modifications to our daily operations until further notice. Perry City Hall: Closed to the public. Utility payments may be made over the phone or online. Payments may be made at our kiosk located in the City Hall parking lot. Credit, debit, money orders, and checks are accepted. Customer Service may be reached at 478-988-2754. Please visit https://www.perry-ga.gov/customer-service/. Perry Community Development Building: Closed to the public. The Development Services Portal is available online at https://www.perry-ga.gov/community-development/. Perry Fire & Emergency Service & Police Department: Closed to the public. They will continue to provide essential services. Response times may be delayed for non-emergency situations. Perry Leisure Services: All activities are cancelled, including upcoming Spring sports. Refunds will be issued automatically. The James. E. Worrall Center and Rozar Park office is closed to the public. Perry Municipal Court: Closed to the public. They will continue to provide customer service over the phone. Fines may be paid online or by telephone. Municipal Court may be reached at 478-988-2814. Council Members Joy Peterson and Robert Jones will host an open house event for their constituents on Monday, February 24 at Matt Arthur Elementary School beginning at 6:30 p.m. The District 2 Open House will be an interactive experience for attendees with district specific information and the chance to learn about Perry services. Celebrating 10 Years of Music in Our Community! The 10th Annual Perry Music Festival is Saturday, September 14, 2019 at Rotary Centennial Park, 650 General Courtney Hodges Boulevard in Perry, GA.   It will begin at 4PM and run until 11PM.  It is free admission. There will be local food and drink  vendors onsite serving all evening long!
