Closing Ceremony for Coming to America- The Immigrant Experience

Come for a reception and creative conversation with artist Andrew Sabori and James McSweeney of the National Archives. See and hear from artist Andrew Sabori and James McSweeney of the National Archives the story behind the exhibit Coming to America: The Immigrant Experience which includes a reproduction of the lost murals of Ellis Island.  The exhibit also features a collection of 30 painted portraits of famous immigrants, photos from Ellis Island, and other documents.  Visitors interested in experiencing the exhibit on a deeper level and those interested in history and genealogy are invited to attend this FREE reception from 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm on Thursday, November 1st, at the Perry Arts Center, 1121 Macon Rd., Perry, GA 31069.  Drinks and light appetizers will be available.  For more info, visit bit.ly/perryCTAexhibit.

Saturday Cinema

We’re watching The Lion King for our last Saturday Cinema of the summer! Pack your swimsuits and towels.  Join us at the Creekwood Park Splash Pad for some fun in the sun beginning at 7:00 p.m. and then find your spot on the lawn for the movie at sunset! Creekwood Park Splash Pad September 22nd, 2018 7:00 p.m.-10:30 p.m. (Movie begins at Sunset.) Outside chairs, blankets, food and drinks are allowed. Lolli-Pop of Warner Robins will be providing FREE popcorn to the community and serving/selling all of your other favorite movie snacks and essentials.

Food Truck Friday

Our last Food Truck Friday is this Friday, Sept. 14th from 6:00 p.m.-10:00 p.m! Prepare yourselves for the biggest and best one yet. The fun starts at 6:00 p.m. and live entertainment at 7:30 p.m with the Megan Brent Blues Band headlining! Help us celebrate the end of summer and the beginning of an eventful fall right here in historic downtown Perry.  We will have an assortment of locally owned and Atlanta Food Trucks. Just Tap’d and Bodega Brew will be serving beer and wine! A “Kids Zone”, with bounce houses and face-painting, will be available for children ages 4+ when accompanied by an adult. The City of Perry’s last Food Truck Friday of the season is on Sept. 14, 2018 from 6 pm- 10 pm! Grab your family and friends and meet us in Downtown Perry for an evening of live entertainment, spirits, and an assortment of locally owned and ATL Food Trucks! A “Kids Zone”, with a bounce house and face-painting, will be available for children ages 4+ when accompanied by an adult. No outside coolers or alcohol allowed! Oktoberfest Date Announced

Join us for the first ever Oktoberfest right here in Perry, Georgia! This fun fall festival will be on October 20th, 2018 from 3:00 p.m.- 9:00 p.m. Food, drinks, and entertainment will be available for everyone. We’ll be serving craft Beer, Brats, Pretzels and more! Georgia Big Band Concert

The City of Perry and Perry Music Festival are excited to present this year’s Georgia Big Band on Sept 15, 2018 from 7-9 pm! Join us at the Perry Arts Center, 1121 Macon Rd., Perry, GA for an evening of music, dancing, and food and drink. This event is BYOB and bring your own dinner for your table and friends. Desserts, drinks and alcohol will be available to purchase at the event. (Alcoholic beverages allowed for ages 21 and over with ID). Saturday Cinema at Creekwood Splash Pad

Saturday Cinema is this Saturday, August 25 at Creekwood Park, 1107 Ida Lassater Circle, Perry, GA 31069 starting at 6:30 pm. Come and enjoy an evening with your family and friends at the Splash pad, grab some dinner courtesy of our Leisure Services team, and stick around for “Moana” beginning at sunset! We will have FREE hotdogs and hamburgers for the first 200 event attendees. Lolli-Pop of Warner Robins will be serving FREE popcorn to the community during the show and will be selling other fun movie snacks! Chairs, blankets, and family picnics are allowed!
