The Perry Police Department has been providing quality law enforcement and police services to the citizens of the City of Perry for over 75 years. The Perry Police Department has grown to be an agency consisting of  highly dedicated employees. The Police Department achieved  and has since maintained Georgia State Certification, attesting to its commitment of professionalism and service to the community. The Department's total employee compliment includes Bicycle Patrol Officers, D.A.R.E. Officers, Crime Prevention Officers and Specialists, Criminal Investigators, Correctional Officers, Communications Officers, Patrol Officers, School Crossing Guards, School Resource Officers, and an outstanding staff of Administrative Assistants. The Perry Police Department believes in the principals of community policing and works in partnership with citizens and local businesses to promote, encourage, and enact ways to maintain a low crime rate, increase public safety, and enhance our quality of life.

Mission Statement

The mission of the Perry Police Department is to deliver effective and responsive law enforcement services to all citizens in the City of Perry in a fair and equitable manner.  As a visible and integral part of the Perry community, we are committed to communicate and join with those we serve to establish priorities that enhance the quality of life in Perry, Georgia. The Perry Police Department is committed to the stated mission through the development and pursuit of goals designed to enhance services to the community. The mission/philosophy of the Perry Police Department is three-fold: to protect the life, individual liberty and property of all people within the city; to develop and maintain a positive relationship with members of the community; and to foster a positive working environment for police employees.
