The Perry Public Works Department handles all repairs, patching, cleaning, painting, paving contracts and mowing of medians. Contact the Department of Public Works at (478) 988-2729.

Sidewalks

Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk Maintenance
The Public Works Department is responsible for installing and maintaining all public sidewalks, to include curb and gutter. Minor concrete repairs and replacements are funded through the Public Works Operating Budget with major projects funded through the City's Capital Improvement Program (CIP).

Curb, Gutter and Sidewalk Expansions
The Public Works Department coordinates all curb, gutter, and sidewalk expansion projects. These projects are funded through the Capital Improvements Program. Concrete expansion projects are usually installed by the Public Works Department however may be contracted out to private firms on a case by case basis.

Cost Share Concrete Installations
The Public Works Department also performs minor concrete expansion projects on a cost share basis for smaller projects not normally included in the City's Capital Improvements Program (CIP) for reasons of project size and/or priority. An example of a typical cost share project would include the installation of curb and gutter, including a driveway apron, for several residents along a public street. Public Works crews will perform all of the work and residents will only pay the actual costs for the materials required. Cost share concrete installations are funded through the Public Works Operating Budget; therefore, the number of projects performed during the year is limited.

To inquire about a cost share project, contact our office at (478) 988-2729 by e-mail at public.works@perry-ga.gov.

Minor extensions to the City's storm sewer system are funded through the Public Works Operating Budget with major projects funded through the City's Capital Improvements Program (CIP).
