Keys to the Downtown District

Historic Downtown Perry is rolling out the red carpet for our business community with a new way to celebrate milestones!

The Keys to the Downtown District program is a special welcome and recognition ceremony for new businesses, expansions, new locations, anniversaries, and other special occasions within the Downtown District.

Rather than a traditional ribbon cutting, this celebration includes the presentation of a ceremonial key—symbolizing your valued place in our thriving downtown. It's our way of saying thank you for choosing to invest in Perry and be part of what makes our community so special.

Program Criteria

• New businesses, new owners, or similar.


• Businesses that have completed substantial façade renovations or building improvements.


• Existing business celebrating milestones.


• Once a business has received a Key to the Downtown District, they cannot receive another.


• Ceremonies/presentations must be scheduled at least two weeks in advance.
