Caution: Retirement Assistance Emails

Human Resources has received several emails offering to assist employees with retirement planning or retirement benefits. Please be cautious of these messages.

Do not respond to unsolicited retirement assistance emails.
Do not provide personal, financial, Social Security, or retirement account information.
If you receive an email offering retirement assistance that you were not expecting, please delete it.

How to Know What Is Legitimate

The City’s GMA Pension Plan is frozen, and information regarding your GMA pension will not be sent directly to your City email from an outside retirement assistance company.
Information regarding the City’s 457 plan will come from Empower and will be sent to your personal email address.
