Celebrating 10 Years of Mossy Creek Natural in Historic Downtown Perry
The City of Perry and the Main Street Advisory Board proudly celebrated Mossy Creek Natural’s 10th anniversary in Historic Downtown Perry with a Keys to the Downtown District ceremony.
Located in the heart of downtown, Mossy Creek Natural has become a staple for both locals and visitors with its signature handmade soaps, candles, and bath products – all proudly labeled Made in Perry.
A Decade of Creativity and Community
During the ceremony, City of Perry Downtown Manager Alicia Hartley highlighted Mossy Creek Natural’s impact on the downtown district. “As soon as you walk in the door, you can just breathe a sigh of relief from the wonderful scents of their soaps and candles,” Hartley said. “Their products bring something truly unique to Downtown Perry, and they’ve been part of so many of our local gift baskets and special events. Every label that says Made in Perry ties directly back to our community roots.”
Owner Michelle Rhodes expressed gratitude to her loyal customers, her dedicated team, and the community that has supported Mossy Creek Natural since it first opened in 2015.“It’s hard to believe it’s been ten years,” Rhodes said. “We’ve seen so many transitions downtown, and we’re so fortunate to still be part of this amazing community. My team is incredible – we even closed the Macon store today so everyone could be here to celebrate together.”
A Strong Downtown Partnership
Mayor Randall Walker also joined in the celebration, reflecting on Mossy Creek Natural’s journey and continued presence in Perry’s growing downtown.“We’ve watched Mossy Creek Natural grow and evolve over the past decade,” Mayor Walker shared. “Michelle and her team have reimagined their business to meet changing markets, and their success shows what’s possible here in Historic Downtown Perry. Mossy Creek has become part of what makes our city a true destination.”
He also commended the business for consistently participating in community events and staying open during special downtown activities – helping create the welcoming atmosphere Perry is known for.
