City of Perry Announces New Finance Director

The City of Perry appointed Lyn McDonald as Finance Director, bringing extensive experience in financial leadership across the technology, manufacturing, and banking industries.

Prior to joining the City of Perry, McDonald served as Portfolio CFO for Vencora, a division of Volaris Group. In this role, she supported the acquisition of software technology companies and helped lead financial integration efforts while providing strategic financial oversight for business operations.

Before her work with Vencora, McDonald held finance and treasury positions within the manufacturing andv banking industries where she gained experience in financial operations and long-range planning.

McDonald earned a Bachelor of Science in Business/Accounting from Macon State College and an MBA from Georgia College & State University. She also holds active certifications as a Certified Management Accountant, Certified Treasury Professional, Certified in Strategy, and Competitive Analysis.

As Finance Director, McDonald will oversee the city’s financial operations, including budgeting, treasury management, financial reporting, and long-term financial planning efforts that support the City of Perry’s continued growth and strategic priorities.
