City of Perry to Host Annual Independence Day Celebration on July 4

The City of Perry invites the community to celebrate Independence Day with an evening of free live music, family fun, and fireworks on Friday, July 4, in Historic Downtown Perry.

The event begins at 7:00 p.m. and will feature live entertainment by the band Brandon Crocker. Food trucks and downtown restaurants will offer a variety of local dining options throughout the evening.

Families can take part in free activities during the event, including face painting, Middle Georgia Jellyball, and balloon art. Additional entertainment includes the Statue of Liberty and Uncle Sam stilt walkers.

The highlight of the celebration will be a spectacular fireworks display beginning at approximately 9:30 p.m., lighting up the Perry sky in honor of Independence Day.

Attendees are encouraged to bring chairs or blankets to enjoy the festivities comfortably. Parking will be available downtown, but attendees are encouraged to arrive early to secure a spot. Dedicated handicap parking will be in the parking lot located at the intersection of Ball Street and Main Street.

For your safety, areas closed to pedestrian traffic will be clearly marked with barricades. Please remain behind these barriers at all times during the event.
