The Savvy Awards, presented at 3CMA’s Annual Conference, celebrate exceptional achievements from cities, counties, agencies, and special districts across the country. With more than 1,100 entries in nearly 40 categories this year, the competition highlights the innovation and creativity of local government communicators.
Tabitha Clark, APR, Communications Director for the City of Perry, said, “Our team works hard to deliver events that not only entertain but also strengthen the bonds between residents, businesses, and visitors. Being recognized on a national level for both our Independence Day Celebration and the Buzzard Drop is a true honor for the City of Perry.”
The Perry Independence Day Celebration is the City’s signature summer event, drawing thousands for an evening of live entertainment, family activities, and a spectacular fireworks show. The Perry Buzzard Drop, a New Year’s Eve tradition unique to Perry, has become a beloved community celebration that attracts residents and visitors from across the region.
The 3CMA Savvy Awards competition is the nation’s leading awards program for local government communications. Each entry is judged on innovation, effectiveness, and how it strengthens the connection between residents and their government.
