SAVANNAH, Ga. – Council Member Reverend Willie King of the City of Perry has been recognized by the Georgia Municipal Association (GMA) and the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute as a newly inducted member of the 400 Club during GMA's 2026 Annual Convention.

The Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute, a cooperative effort of GMA and the University of Georgia's Carl Vinson Institute of Government, provides a nationally recognized series of training for elected city officials. To be a member of the 400 Club, an official must have achieved 400 or more hours of training through the Harold F. Holtz Municipal Training Institute.

"Council Member Reverend Willie King's commitment to learning and leadership exemplifies the dedication it takes to lead a thriving city," said GMA CEO and Executive Director Larry Hanson. "Elected officials who pursue this level of training are investing not only in themselves but in the communities they serve."

With this achievement, King joins a distinguished network of municipal leaders from across the state who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to good governance, continuing education, and public service.
