Perry Youth Advisory Council Member Selected for Statewide LeadershipNext Youth Council
The City of Perry is proud to announce that Perry Youth Advisory Council (PYAC) member Eve Scott has been selected to serve on GeorgiaForward’s LeadershipNext Statewide Youth Council.
LeadershipNext is a statewide initiative designed to connect and support youth leadership programs across Georgia, including youth councils, advisory boards, and civic engagement initiatives led by local governments. The program brings together students from across the state to strengthen leadership development and expand opportunities for meaningful involvement in their communities.
As a member of the Statewide Youth Council, Eve will join a cohort representing all 12 districts of the Georgia Municipal Association. Throughout the program, participants will engage with local leaders, explore real-world community challenges, and collaborate on youth-led service initiatives that make a lasting impact.
The program also focuses on building practical skills in public speaking, advocacy, collaboration, and decision-making, while helping students gain a deeper understanding of how local government operates.
Eve’s selection reflects her commitment to leadership, service, and civic engagement through the Perry Youth Advisory Council. Her participation not only represents a personal achievement, but also highlights the impact of youth leadership opportunities in the City of Perry.
The City of Perry congratulates Eve on this outstanding accomplishment and looks forward to seeing the positive contributions she will make through this statewide initiative.
