Agendas & Minutes

Agendas are the official outlines of what will be discussed at each Youth Council meeting. They help you know what topics are coming up and how to prepare. All agendas will be emailed directly to Youth Council members before each meeting.

Minutes are the written records of what happened during a meeting, including decisions made and key discussion points. Minutes will be uploaded after each meeting so you can review or catch up if you missed something.

Civic Challenges

Civic Challenges are hands-on activities designed to get you involved in your community and see local government in action. They give you the chance to take what you learn in PYAC meetings and apply it in real, impactful ways.

Civic Challenge

Complete this challenge before January 15, 2026.

Discover Downtown Perry

  • Think about a business or employer you wish Perry had — retail, entertainment, dining, service, technology, or another type of company.
  • Choose one business that you believe would benefit the community and could realistically succeed in Perry.
  • Write a short explanation describing why you selected this business and how it could contribute to Perry’s economy or quality of life.
  • Be ready to share your idea and explanation at the next PYAC meeting.

Ready to Volunteer?

As a Youth Councilmember, volunteering is one of the most important ways you can serve your community. Getting involved at events helps you build leadership skills, connect with Perry residents, and see firsthand how local government works beyond meetings.

You are invited to sign up for any of the volunteer opportunities listed below. Each event is a chance to give back, represent the Youth Council, and make a real impact in our city.
