Welcome Park Gets a Playful Upgrade

The City of Perry and the Main Street Advisory Board invite residents, visitors, and community partners to celebrate new enhancements at Welcome Park (1033 Macon Road) during a ribbon cutting ceremony on March 5 at 3:00 p.m.

The ceremony will highlight recent additions designed to further activate the park and enhance the experience for those who live, work, and visit Historic Downtown Perry.

Welcome Park now features flower-inspired musical play elements and a new picnic table. The new amenities create additional opportunities for families, neighbors, and visitors to gather and engage in this vibrant public space. The improvements are part of the Perry Main Street Advisory Board’s ongoing efforts to strengthen downtown’s outdoor areas and cultivate a welcoming sense of place.

This project supports the board’s broader placemaking strategy, focused on creating community-oriented spaces that bring people together and enhance the character of Historic Downtown Perry.

The ribbon cutting will begin promptly at 3:00 p.m. Attendees will have the opportunity to explore the updated park, connect with city leadership and board members, and learn more about continued placemaking efforts throughout downtown.
