City of Perry Launches Perry Alerts, Upgrading Emergency and Community Notifications

The City of Perry, in collaboration with the Houston County Emergency Management Agency, is launching Perry Alerts, a new and enhanced public notification system designed to improve how residents receive critical information during emergencies and important community updates.

Perry Alerts will replace the City’s previous Perry Points system and will deliver timely notifications related to severe weather, public safety incidents, traffic impacts, emergency response updates, and other essential City information. The new platform offers improved reliability and enhanced capabilities, aligning local notifications with countywide emergency communications.

“This transition strengthens our ability to quickly and accurately share information with our residents,” said City of Perry Communications Director, Tabitha Clark. “By working closely with Houston County Emergency Management Agency, we’re ensuring Perry residents receive consistent, trusted alerts during situations when information matters most.”

Perry Alerts integrates with Houston County’s broader emergency management framework, supporting coordinated messaging during large-scale incidents, weather events, and public safety emergencies. This partnership helps ensure residents receive clear and unified communications across jurisdictions.
