Perry Police Records Restriction

The Perry Police Department will host a record restriction event on July 29 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Perry Events Center.

The record restriction event is an initiative designed to assist individuals who have charges that have been dismissed or found not guilty by the court. It offers a chance for eligible individuals to have these charges restricted from public view, providing them with greater opportunities for employment, housing, and overall personal growth.

Interested individuals should complete the necessary paperwork before the event to expedite the process. Completed paperwork should be submitted to the Perry Police Department, where histories will be run in advance.

Representatives from each agency, including the Solicitor General’s Office and the Houston County District Attorney’s Office, will be present to review cases and determine eligibility based on state requirements.

Please note that only charges that have been dismissed or found not guilty by the court are eligible for consideration. Those who have been found guilty or have pled guilty are not eligible for record restriction.
